Once InControl is installed, the installation wizard will ask you to reboot the computer. If it doesnt, you should reboot anyways.

These are the steps to load the application:

1.. Open InControl from Start -> All Programs -> Wonderware -> InControl
2.. Click on the Search button up in the toolbar. Browse for the InControl - A2 Tank System folder that contains the application, you can get it from:
\\docarchive\Users\JuanCarlos\InSQL for System Platform Class Files\

3.. Once you see it in the application list, double click on it to open the development environment.
4.. Go to the menu, and select Runtime -> Connect
5.. From the menu select Runtime -> Run Project, or press F5. The firest time you do this, it could take a couple of minutes for the application to go into Running state. Youll know the app is running when the little green InControl icon in the Windows status bar.
6.. Now, in the bottom right area of the InControl Window, you will find the Watch panel, which contains a bunch of signals. You should find a Boolean signal called InitStateIAS (See attached file InControl01.jpg)
7.. Select the Value column for the InitStateIAS and double click on it. You should see the modify value dialog box (See attached file InControl02.jpg). Change the new value to TRUE and click on the Write button.
8.. Dont worry if the value for the InitStateIAS value doesnt change accordingly, its NOT supposed to change. Once you do the writing, you can close the InControl window (you dont have to keep it open, the process will keep running in the background).
9.. Remember you will have to go to the ArchestrA IDE, and edit the InControl object. The Server node parameter should be now localhost. Change this, and redeploy the InControl object only. After a couple of minutes you should see the values changing in Object Viewer, and then in Trend.

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Good Luck!

JC

Hi JC,

When its convenient would you please put the InControl CD in my LEFT computer? That would be the one on the LEFT. I forgot that docarchive has all the software we use except for WW software, silly me.

Thanks!

Cheryl
